Susan G. Komen CEO on Leadership, Life-Changing Cancer Research Behind the Iconic Pink Ribbon

Paula Schneider was 35 when she became a company president for the first time and since then has been the force behind multiple iconic American brands, most recently as CEO of American Apparel. Having transitioned out of fashion and into the non-profit world, she now brings a new sense of service leadership to the c-suite as CEO of Susan G. Komen, where she is responsible for the strategy and day-to-day operations of the world’s largest breast cancer research portfolio with almost a billion dollars in funding to date. She joined Head of Corporate Engagement Robyn Shepherd for Bridgewater’s Distinguished Speaker Series to discuss how Komen’s advocacy and agenda reaches far beyond the iconic pink ribbon and to describe some of the leadership lessons that have shaped her career.
