Bridgewater Highlights Research on Africa's Growth Trajectory at the Global Citizen Festival
September 28, 2024
At Bridgewater, we have always been focused on understanding the forces that shape economies. One of the significant trends we have mapped is the booming population growth in Sub-Saharan Africa.
On Saturday, over 200 Bridgewater employees were on the ground at the Global Citizen Festival, coming together to celebrate the importance of partnership and meaningful action. During the programming, CEO Nir Bar Dea and Nomzamo Mbatha highlighted Bridgewater’s collaboration with Global Citizen and Harith General Partners to support the World Bank's IDA21 replenishment efforts—which aims to lift 250 million people out of energy poverty by 2030. They also discussed Bridgewater’s latest research and the upcoming Economic Development Assembly, which Bridgewater will co-host from October 9-10 in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.
At the Economic Development Assembly, Global Citizen, Bridgewater, Harith General Partners, and the World Bank will gather with international leaders to discuss the vital role of cross-sector collaboration in shaping Africa's future.
