Bridgewater’s Tracey Yurko (left) and Jennifer Armstrong (right) were recognized as two of the “50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds” by The Hedge Fund Journal in its 2024 annual report.
Portfolio Strategist, Jennifer Armstrong, works closely with Bridgewater’s CIOs and partners with clients across North America on their most important investment priorities. Jennifer represents Bridgewater’s investment thinking before CEOs, Investment Committees and Trustees of some of the world’s largest and most sophisticated institutional investors. Her research has been published in Bridgewater’s annual strategic reports, quarterly letters, and daily research publications, which are read by investors and policy makers around the world.
Since her early years at Bridgewater, Jennifer has worked to build a diverse investment community by mentoring female investors and developing emerging talent through teaching the firm’s year-long investment class, as well as Bridgewater’s Rising Fellow and Immersion Programs.
Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary Tracey Yurko works closely with the Operating of Directors on issues of corporate governance and board-related matters. Through her leadership, she has continually repositioned and reimagined Bridgewater’s legal function commensurate with the firm's culture of constant evolution and excellence. This has been especially important when navigating Bridgewater’s founder transition, embracing the team’s increasing use of cutting-edge AI tools, and while developing deeper and more proactive partnerships with the business and its clients.
Tracey—who is also a Partner and a member of the firm’s Operating Committee— in partnership with others on her team, established the firm’s Pro Bono program, creating opportunities for team members to provide legal services to organizations that reflect Bridgewater’s values.
Additionally, Tracey serves as executive sponsor for Bridgewater’s “Women’s Influence Network,” where she oversees programming to connect the community to senior women leaders and their career path.
In association with EY, The Hedge Fund Journal published its twelfth edition of “50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds,” recognizing difference makers across the hedge fund industry. Tracey and Jennifer join Bridgewater colleagues who have shared this honor in past years, including Karen Karniol-Tambour, Helene Glotzer, Erin Miles, Robyn Shepherd, Joanna Alpert, Jessica Olseon, and Tobi Molko.
