Rick Sharma Named to Involve’s 2024 Empower Executive Role Model List

Chief Legal Advisor Rick Sharma was named to INvolve’s 2024 Empower Executive Role Model list, supported by YouTube. This award celebrates 100 global senior executives who are leading advocates for the advancement of diversity and inclusion both inside and outside of the workplace.

Rick Sharma joined Bridgewater in 2012 and in his current role is responsible for our investment management legal practice and partners with internal stakeholders on key legal, regulatory, governance and risk management initiatives – additionally he is a Partner and a member of the firm’s Commercial and Business Strategy Committee.

Along with his current roles, Rick serves as the Executive Sponsor of Bridgewater’s Asian American Network (AAN) where he works closely with the affinity network’s leaders to create a representative strategy and programming to build community, provide professional development, and raise awareness about Asian heritage. Most recently Rick led a community conversation with former US Attorney Preet Bharara for Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) Heritage Month and leads firm-wide programing to promote Asian culture and providing education to the broader Bridgewater community, including celebrations for Diwali, Holi, and the Lunar New Year.
