Karen Karniol-Tambour Selected as Council on Foreign Relations 2020 Term Member

Karen Karniol-Tambour joined Bridgewater in 2006 and is currently the Co-Chief Investment Officer for Sustainability, where she leads the design and oversight of new investment solutions with both financial and sustainability objectives. In addition to being a member of Bridgewater’s Investment Committee, Karen has spent the last 15 years developing systematic insights on global markets and overseeing Bridgewater’s investment logic and portfolio construction, and previously headed Bridgewater’s Investment Research function. She serves on the boards of the Truman Center for National Policy and Seeds of Peace, a nonprofit cultivating young leaders to transform conflict in the Middle East and South Asia.

With over 5,000 members across the United States, CFR’s roster includes government officials, scholars, business leaders, journalists, lawyers, and other distinguished nonprofit professionals. As a member of the highly selective Stephen Kellen 5-year Term membership, named after a long time member and policy leader, Karen will join other promising young leaders for an opportunity to engage in a sustained conversation on international affairs and U.S. foreign policy as well as participate in curated sets of events and experiences specifically designed for each.
