Co-CIO Karen Karniol-Tambour Recognized on Barron’s 100 Most Influential Women in U.S. Finance List

Bridgewater Co-CIO Karen Karniol-Tambour was recognized for the sixth consecutive year on Barron’s 100 Most Influential Women in U.S. Finance list, alongside other leaders who are shaping the future of financial services through their insights and mentorship of the next generation.

Karen’s responsibilities as co-CIO include leading the development of the Total Portfolio Strategies (TPS) business, Bridgewater’s investment unit that partners with clients to create investment strategies tailored to enhance portfolio resilience. Karen’s insights on financial markets continue to be influential throughout the financial industry, through her public appearances as well as readership of her research in Bridgewater’s Daily Observations and Connecting the Dots newsletter.

Reflecting on receiving this recognition for the sixth year in a row, Karen spoke about her long career at Bridgewater—“Bridgewater’s culture of meritocracy, as well as its dedication to mentoring and developing talent, are what enabled me to develop exponentially as an investor over my two decades at the firm.
