David Trinh
David joined Bridgewater in 2012 and as Deputy Chief Investment Officer he partners closely with our co-CIOs, evolving Bridgewater’s investment strategies. As Head of Currency Research, David is responsible for overseeing Bridgewater’s currency portfolio and incubating new strategies for inclusion in our alpha process across rate, equity, currency, and commodity markets. He is a member of Bridgewater’s Investment Committee as well as a Partner at the firm. Prior to his current role, David oversaw a portfolio where he traded a cross-asset portfolio primarily focusing on FX and rate markets.
David graduated magna cum laude from Yale University where he majored in Economics and Political Science. External to Bridgewater he is also a mentor in the Girls Who Invest summer internship program.
