Alex Schiller
Alex joined Bridgewater Associates in 2009 and is a Partner of the firm. He is a member of the Investment Committee and the Head of Cross-Asset Strategies, and he previously served as the Co-head of Rates. Alex is responsible for key portions of the firm’s investment systems, with a focus on understanding and predicting the impact of policy choices and private sector money flows on global markets. His work has included the ripple effects of quantitative easing, systematic rates trading based on bond market supply and demand, the impact of coordinated monetary and fiscal policies, and the supply/demand dynamics of the gold market. He also plays a significant leadership role in the development of cutting-edge technologies for Bridgewater’s investment process.
Alex is a member of the US Treasury’s Borrowing Advisory Committee and was named to Institutional Investor's "Hedge Fund Rising Stars" in 2022. He is a graduate of Princeton University, where he studied mathematics.
